Government lays foundation stone for 800 MW Chitrakoot solar power park in Uttar Pradesh

The central government laid foundation stone for the 800 MW Chitrakoot solar power park.

The project involves development of 800 MW ultra mega renewable energy power park on 4,000 acres of land at Mau tehsil in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh at an expected cost of Rs 40 billion. It will be set up by TUSCO Limited, the joint venture company of Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency and THDC India Limited with 26 per cent and 74 per cent stake respectively. The project is expected to be commissioned by May 2025.
