PT Barito Wind Energy and ACEN Investments HK Limited have entered into a sale and purchase agreement to acquire the late-stage wind development assets of UPC Renewables Asia Pacific Holdings in Indonesia.
The total capacity of these assets is 320 MW, with Barito Wind holding a 51 per cent stake and ACEN HK holding the remaining 49 per cent. The wind projects are situated in South Sulawesi (Sidrap 2), Sukabumi, and Lombok provinces. As per ACEN International, the agreement aligns with the company’s growth strategy to expand its wind energy footprint in the Asia Pacific region. Additionally, Barito and ACEN are exploring a potential long-term partnership for additional wind energy projects in Indonesia. This collaboration follows their previous partnership in the 663 MW Salak and Darajat Geothermal plant in West Java.
