Kundan Green Energy Limited has received approval from the Government of Sikkim to initiate the establishment of two run-of-the-river hydropower projects at Upper Myong Chu and Lower Myong Chu.
The project involve a total investment of Rs 2 billion, with Rs 1.2 billion allocated for Upper Myong Chu and Rs 0.8 billion for Lower Myong Chu. The Upper Myong Chu facility is set to generate 12 MW of electricity, while the Lower Myong Chu plant will contribute 6 MW. This strategic move is poised to elevate Kundan Green Energy’s hydropower generation capacity in Sikkim to over 50 MW.
