Polaris Smart Metering has secured contracts worth Rs 52 billion from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL) for the implementation of smart prepaid metering in Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement entails the deployment of 5.1 million smart meters in Lucknow and Ayodhya/Devipatan clusters within the next 27 months. Under the design-build-finance-operate-own-transfer model, Polaris Smart Metering will supply, commission, install, and maintain smart meters in these clusters for the next decade. In addition to the Uttar Pradesh project, Polaris has secured letter of awards in West Bengal and Manipur, amounting to over Rs 24 billion, for the installation of over 2.3 million smart meters.
