Juniper Green Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Limited for the development of 85 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Maharashtra.
This project is the first wind-solar hybrid power project for the company and will utilise both wind and solar resources by combining 51 MW of wind energy and 34 MW of solar power. The project is expected to generate a total of 215 million units of electricity per year. Together, they are projected to offset the state’s carbon emissions by approximately 200,455 tonnes of CO2 annually.
