The Maharashtra government has launched the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0 project management portal to expedite the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0 scheme, aimed at achieving 7,000 MW of decentralised solar capacity.
The scheme targets providing daytime electricity to farmers through solar feeders and is structured as a self-paying model, where savings on grid power are expected to recover project costs within 6-8 years.
