Reportedly, Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited (MPPGCL) has commenced construction of a 660 MW ultra-supercritical unit under phase V of the Satpura thermal power project at Sarni in Betul district with a total project cost of Rs 116.71 billion.
In addition, the company plans to add another 660 MW unit at its existing Amarkantak plant in Chachai taking the combined capacity addition to 1,320 MW.
