ANDRITZ has secured a contract from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to modernise two pumped storage units at the 720 MW Srinagarind hydropower plant, located on the Kwai Yai River in Kanchanaburi province.
The contract value is in the mid double-digit million-euro range and has been booked in ANDRITZ’s order intake for the third quarter of 2025. The new contract comprises the supply, installation, and commissioning of two new 180-MW pump turbine units, motor generators, related electromechanical equipment, and auxiliaries. ANDRITZ will use its advanced manufacturing facilities in India and its global engineering network to deliver the project.
