Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) has awarded its standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) tender for 375 MW 1,500 MWh, with a 1.5 cycle requirement for 15 years.
The lowest discovered tariff in the tender was RS 315,000 per MW per month. The tender was issued in November 2025 and the results were announced about two months later. The winning bidders, along with the tariffs quoted by them, include Eagle Construction Co (Rs 315,000 per MW per month), OPG Power Generation Private Limited (Rs 316,000 per MW per month), Onward Solar Power Private Limited (Rs 325,000 per MW per month), FORCEOne SD Private Limited (Rs 327,000 per MW per month), Brics Renewable Energy Private Limited (Rs 328,000 per MW per month) and Sri Srinivasa Constructions Private Limited (Rs 332,000 per MW per month).
