The Hai Long Offshore Wind Project has installed the first wind turbine for the Hai Long 3 wind farm, using a nacelle locally assembled at the Siemens Gamesa facility in Taichung. Taiwanese contractor CDWE carried out the installation. A total of 73 locally assembled nacelles were completed this month and are being transported offshore for installation. The project has also expanded its partnership with Siemens Gamesa to include local procurement for the Hai Long 2B and Hai Long 3 wind farms.
