Vietnam Electricity National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), a subsidiary of Vietnam Electricity, has energised the upgraded 500 kV Pho Noi substation in Hung Yen province.
The project involved replacing the existing 500 kV, 600 MVA transformer with a new 500 kV, 900 MVA unit, increasing the substation’s total capacity from 1,500 MVA to 1,800 MVA. The scope also included the installation of associated 500 kV and 220 kV feeder bays, tubular busbar systems, a 35 kV assembly for the new transformer, and related technical upgrades. The project was managed by the National Power Transmission Project Management Board, while Power Transmission Company 1 will operate the facility.
