MAHAGENCO to set up TPP in Chhattisgarh

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) is planning to set up a coal-based power plant in Chhattisgarh. The company plans to use the Gare Palma Sector-II coal blocks at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, to fuel the TPP. The project is likely to reduce the cost of electricity supplied by MAHAGENCO owing to reduced coal transportation costs.
