NLC India secures 449 MW solar power capacity in Tamil Nadu auction

NLC India Limited has secured 449 MW of solar power capacity in the latest round of reverse bidding auction for 1,500 MW of solar power capacity, held in Tamil Nadu. The bids were invited by Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO). The entire capacity was allocated to 18 companies out of the 25 firms that participated in the bidding. Bengaluru-based Raasi Green Earth Energy Limited quoted the lowest bid of Rs 3.47 per unit and secured 100 MW of capacity. The other key companies that secured capacity in this auction include Rays Power Infra (200 MW), ReNew Power Ventures (100 MW) and Shapoorji Pallonji Infra (50 MW).
