The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission has set the generic tariff for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects at Rs 3.29 per kWh for 2019-20, to be applicable from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020. The tariff will be applicable for projects where the cost of land and evacuation infrastructure has been included in the capital cost and not provided free by the power purchaser. The generic tariff for solar PV stood at Rs 2.72 per kWh in 2018-19.
