MetPower Venture Partners and Lipp GmbH to jointly build biogas plants in Philippines

MetPower Venture Partners, owned by Metro Pacific Investments (MPIC) and German plant construction services provider Lipp GmbH have collaborated to build the first industrial-scale biogas facilities in Mindanao, Philippines.

The two plants will process pineapple waste from food company Dole Philippines’ and transform it into biogas. The facilities are expected to be completed in the first half of 2021 and would entail an investment of about $ 0.021 billion. MetPower Venture Partners is undertaking a waste-to-energy project to generate 5.7 MW of clean energy for Dole.
