Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’s board(Powergrid) has approved investments for transmission projects worth Rs 6.77 billion.
The projects approved by the board include theTransmission system for evacuation of power from the Pakaldul hydroelectric energy (HEP) in Chenab Valley HEPs-LTA System, at an estimated cost of Rs 3.18 billion which is scheduled to be commissioned by April 2025 (matching with Pakaldul hydro project generation). The board additionally approved the “Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for evacuation of power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part G1” at an estimated cost of Rs 3.59 billion.This project is scheduled to be commissioned by September 2023.
