GreenZo Energy to develop 50 MW hydrogen capacity in Nepal

GreenZo Energy will set up green hydrogen capacities totalling 50 MW at various locations in Nepal.

GreenZo Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with API Power Company Limied to develop 50 MW green hydrogen plants. API Power will invest Rs 10 billion in the project. The plant can generate 4,000 million tonnes of hydrogen annually within a span of three years. Under the agreement, API Power has proposed sites of existing hydro and solar projects to be used for the hydrogen initiative. The pilot hydro project of 1 MW, as agreed by both the companies, will take off at 8.5 MW Naugarh Gad hydroelectric project. The project is expected to be completed by 2025.
