NHPC Limited has received approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) for the merger of Lanco Teesta Hydro Power with NHPC.
The company has also received a second payment of Rs 2.50 billion under its mega insurance policy. This payment is related to business interruption losses caused by the flash flood at the 510 MW Teesta-V Power Station on October 4, 2023. NHPC is the largest hydropower developer in India and has diversified into solar and wind power.
