GE Vernova launches GridBeats APS to modernise substation protection and automation

GE Vernova has launched GridBeats APS, a new automation and protection system under its GridBeats portfolio, to help utilities modernise electrical substations and simplify grid operations as networks expand and operating requirements become more complex. The solution is designed to reduce device footprints in substations by enabling multiple protection and control functions to run on a common platform without disrupting service. GridBeats APS uses hardware abstraction technology to reduce the amount of hardware required and the number of spare devices utilities must maintain.
