Polaris Smart Metering has secured Rs 7.1 billion in financing from British International Investment (BII) for its subsidiary, Hooghly Smart Metering Private Limited, to support the deployment of over 2.2 million smart meters in West Bengal.
The investment is intended to strengthen the company’s advanced metering infrastructure footprint and support ongoing power distribution reforms in India.
