AMEA Power announces groundbreaking on 150 MW/300 MWh BESS project in Uzbekistan

AMEA Power has announced groundbreaking of a 150 MW / 300 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) in Tashkent, located in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district.

The project will enhance grid stability, support renewable energy integration, and reduce reliance on fossil-fuel peak power. It features a two-hour storage capacity and is expected to deliver up to 10,950 equivalent cycles over a 15-year operational lifespan.
