REC Limited has inked two MoUs with the Government of Tripura to support renewable energy and power sector projects totaling Rs 150 billion. The first MoU has been signed with the Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA), through the Department of Power, Government of Tripura, to support renewable energy projects worth up to Rs 50 billion. Under the MoU, TREDA will facilitate the implementation of renewable energy projects, while REC Limited will provide financial assistance to support investments in the sector.
Furthermore, the second MoU has been signed with the Department of Power, Government of Tripura, through Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, to facilitate power sector projects worth up to Rs 100 billion. The MoU will enable financing for key infrastructure projects aimed at expanding and modernising Tripura’s power infrastructure.
