Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has received a letter of intent after being declared the successful bidder under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route for an inter-state transmission project, “Transmission system for Integration of Power from RE Projects in Jam Khambhaliya REZ in Gujarat – Phase II (5,500MW) and Jamnagar Phase-I (1,000 MW)”. The project will be developed on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis.
The discovered tariff for the project is Rs 8,229.1 million per annum. The scope of work includes a new gas-insulated switchgear substation at Kalyanpur, along with ICT augmentation and bay extension works at under-construction substations in Gujarat, and the construction of 765 kV transmission lines across the state.
