Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, has commissioned a 190.5 MW solar firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project at Kalasar in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Developed under the SJVN FDRE Tranche-I, the project forms part of a larger 460 MW FDRE project. It is equipped with a 115 MWh battery energy storage system to support grid reliability. Further, the generated power will be supplied to Haryana Power Purchase Centre, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, and Noida Power Company Limited. Following the commissioning, TPREL’s total utility-scale renewable energy capacity has reached 12.4 GW.
