The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has directed that procurement of wind power by the state distribution licensees in the future will be only through competitive e-reverse bidding and in accordance with the guidelines issued by the central government. The ceiling price for the bids will be the generic tariff for wind power plants as determined by the commission from time to time.
