Gujarat signs MoU with international companies for adding clean energy capacity

Gujarat has entered into memorandum of understandings (MoU) with MeOH Giga Battery from Australia and Australian Premium Solar Pty Limited to expedite the achievement of its renewable energy capacity.

Welspun and Kiri Industries, have also partnered with German firms Lili Navitas and Sundronix. These agreements will provide opportunities for Gujarat to export green ammonia and hydrogen to Europe.

Additionally, the Gujarat government has unveiled a land allocation plan that provides a number of advantages to companies funding the state’s green hydrogen initiatives. As per the policy, within five years of plant commissioning, companies must reach 50 per cent of their green hydrogen production capacity, and within eight years, companies must reach 100 per cent of their capacity.
