ENGIE and Gujarat government signs MoU to advance decarbonisation and renewable energy initiatives

ENGIE India and the Gujarat government have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to invest Rs 172 billion for the development of 2.5 GW of renewable energy projects in Gujarat at the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.

These proposed projects are in addition to the ongoing development of a 400 MW solar project at Surendernagar in Gujarat. The agreement solidifies their collaboration on a comprehensive decarbonization program and the establishment of a renewable energy infrastructure in Gujarat, playing a pivotal role in the state’s ambitious clean energy transition.
