MNRE launches India–UK offshore wind taskforce under Vision 2035 and Fourth Energy Dialogue

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched the India–UK offshore wind taskforce, describing it as a working mechanism under Vision 2035 and the Fourth Energy Dialogue to provide strategic leadership and coordination for India’s offshore wind ecosystem.

The taskforce will focus on three cooperation pillars covering ecosystem planning and market design, including seabed leasing and revenue certainty mechanisms, infrastructure and supply chains, including port modernisation, local manufacturing and specialised vessels, and financing and risk mitigation through blended finance and mobilisation of long-term institutional capital.
