Waaree Energy Storage Solution (WESSPL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, will set up a 16 GWh lithium-ion cell gigafactory at Rambilli in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh.
The proposed facility will cover cell manufacturing, battery packs and grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company will invest Rs 81.75 billion in the project which has received in-principle approval from the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board.
