Raychem RPG, a joint venture of TE Connectivity, USA, and RPG Enterprises, India, has acquired Chennai-based Hi-Velm Industries. Hi-Velm Industries is a division of Digivision Electronics Limited and is a leading producer of extra high voltage (EHV) disconnectors in India. The acquisition will facilitate Raychem RPG to extend its product line in the fast-growing market of EHV disconnectors globally, and will also help the company provide comprehensive solutions to EHV stations. Raychem RPG intends to integrate the facility at its existing facility of power infrastructure products at Halol to create cost synergies. Raychem RPG is currently focused on providing solutions to improve power reliability and lowering power losses through various innovative products.
