OMC Power has secured an investment of about Rs 1.6 billion from Kansai transmission and distribution, under which the Japanese energy company will acquire a 10 per cent equity stake in the distributed renewable energy firm.
The investment is expected to support OMC Power’s plan to build a 1 GW distributed renewable energy platform and marks the fourth Japanese investment in the company after Mitsui & Co, Chubu Electric and Honda Motor Corporation.
